This was my own design of a Firebird tutu. I dyed all the layers of net and tulle as well as the knickers. Each flame piece was individually sewn onto the bodice and skirt.

This was my final project for my graduate program. I dyed all of the fabric, draped the pattern and constructed the dress and hat.

The black garment on the left is an original bodice from around 1905. The blue bodice is my reproduction. For this project I copied the pattern and wrote a research paper, which are both included on the CoStar webpage for UNC Chapel Hill.
